Children's Ministry

Sundays

“Train children in the way they should go; when they grow old, they won’t depart from it.” - Proverbs 22:6

As United Methodists, we believe in the importance of welcoming, including, and nurturing children in our church family. One of the ways we help children grow in their knowledge and experience of God is Sunday school. Committing to a Sunday school is a great opportunity for people of all ages to grow as disciples—as they grow closer to God and each other.

Sunday School begins at 10am in our children’s wing, where we offer age-specific curriculum for Preschool through 5th Grade.

Acolytes (3rd Grade+)

"Jesus said: ‘I am the light of the world.’” - John 8:12

As each worship service begins, candlelight is carried into the sanctuary by our acolytes. This light symbolizes the light and presence of Christ in the midst of our worshiping community, and reminds us of Jesus coming into our world and into our lives. Children are invited to carry the light of Christ to our altar. At the end of the service, the light carried out into the world is a sign that the love of Christ is for all people everywhere, and that Christ goes with us into the world where we serve as his living body.

Wednesdays - 4:19 Children

"We love because God first loved us." - 1 John 4:19

Each week children will engage in fellowship, worship, and a mission. We begin our Wednesday nights at 5:30pm with Genesis Choir Rehearsal, followed by 6pm dinner and activity.
