Senior Minister

The son of farming families, John grew up in Anna and Allen, Texas, graduating from Allen High School in 1979. He attended Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy. John received his Masters of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University, graduating magna cum laude. He began full-time ministry as the youth director at FUMC - Grapevine on September 1, 1988 then moved to Custer Road UMC on June 4, 1989 where he served as youth minister for 20 years before becoming the Associate Minister of Evangelism and Mission for two years. John was appointed Senior Minister of FUMC - Celina on July 1, 2011.

John is married to Monica and they have three sons, Ethan Maliskas, Cameron Baldwin and Aiden Maliskas. The Mojo 5, as they refer to themselves, live in McKinney where Monica is an art teacher at McNeil Elementary School.

Bill grew up in small towns in Northeastern Oklahoma. He has been in ministry with youth and families for over 13 years.  As a child he was raised in the United Methodist Church and was deeply shaped by its traditions and principles. He and his wife Branda have two children, Barrett and Gabby. They moved to Celina after he completed his Masters of Divinity work at Phillips Theological Seminary in Tulsa. Some of his interests are martial arts and movies, both he has found add to discipleship in Jesus Christ.
